60,000 SF Mother Baby Expansion and Renovation Building

 

Martek is IOT contractor responsible for all initial outfitting and transitioning of this new addition and renovation. Despite construction delays Martek worked with the customer and general contractor to ensure the IO&T portion and project was completed on time and within budget.

25,000 SF NICOE Center

 

Martek was selected to perform all IO&T services for this National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICOE) sponsored and funded by The Fisher House. The multi-disciplinary centers exist to gain an understanding of and healing the invisible wounds of war, particularly Post Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress (PTS). The center primary function helps and rehabilitate veterans using ancient technology like meditations yoga and exercise to the latest modern technology such as magnetoencephalography, MRI and PET scans. Project was delivered on time and within budget.

113,000 square-foot build to suit office and testing facility
Idaho Falls, Idaho

 

Martek was an At-Risk developer for this ground-up build to suit project for a highly specialized office space, assembly and scientific testing for Fortune 500 world leading company focused on the energy and aviation industry. Facility has been recognized for national awards that include Best Project from Tilt-Up Concrete Association and Idaho Business Review for Top Project 2014.
Project was delivered on time under budget Entire project was 11 months and 11 days. Martek provides asset and property management for this building.

US Geological Survey

Huron, Ohio
7,000 SF special office, laboratory, and deep-water research vessel berthing.

 

Martek was the At-Risk developer and general contractor on this project. After 25 years located in multiple separate facilities US Geological Survey turned to Martek to provide full redevelopment to accommodate extremely difficult set of requirements. Martek redeveloped and provided all design build aspects of the property which included building expansion of office space, laboratory, warehousing, locker room and shower facilities and secured ware yard, marine yard, and dockage.

300,000 square-foot food processing headquarters
Savage, Maryland

 

Martek designed and delivered all furnishings and furniture for the new headquarters of Coastal Sunbelt. Martek provided full design services, product selection, delivery, installation, and turnover. Project was completed on time and within budget.

10,000 SF specialized secured facility
Idaho Falls, Idaho

 

Martek was At-Risk developer for the acquisition and major renovation to accommodate the special needs of this highly secured facility. Martek delivered this correct on time within budget while dealing with the worst winter conditions Idaho experienced in more than 75 years.

160,000 SF Major renovation of dormant detention center

 

Martek performed a major renovation to a dormant 525 bed detention center in southern California. Site grading and drainage planning and execution, concrete work to include external drains and construction of a basketball court, asphalt resurfacing for the perimeter accessways and parking areas, painting of the internal and external surfaces for the entire site. The team provided interior & exterior lighting; Replaced and provided electrical and plumbing to 6 guard houses; Updated Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning (HVAC) and controls; Water softening systems; Fire protection & life safety; Roofing & waterproofing systems; Doors, door hardware and locking systems; Security camera and access systems; Medical ventilation certification and dental air. We updated multiple detention dormitories, updated a large food service and dining facility and a medical/dental facility.

Martek provided Outfitting and Activation services for the Long Beach VAMC, outfitting an Audiology, Eye Clinics and Sleep Study areas in building OP126, and featuring 6 audiometric exam suites, 26 eye testing/exam/treatment rooms and 6 sleep lab rooms. Finishing on time and under budget.

Lincoln Nebraska CBOC

 

Martek served as the IOT&A contractor for a 70,00 SF CBOC to replace a 90-year-old facility. We provided Comprehensive Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) Planning Support; Acquisition Services; Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and Transition Planning; Relocation Services; Installation services, and Strategic Communications (STRATCOM) Support Services; Relocation Services; Comprehensive Warehousing Management Services; Delivery, Installation, Testing, and Training Services; Training and Simulation; Final Turnover, Close-out, and Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) Services. Additionally, Martek affected the disposition of 250,000 SF of excess equipment and furnishings valued at more than $6m. All services were completed early and under budget.

Birmingham Mental Health Clinic

 

As the IOT&A Contractor for a new 60,000 SF Mental Health Facility, Martek provided Comprehensive Project Management Support; Design and Planning; Comprehensive Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) Planning; Acquisition; Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and Transition Planning; Strategic Communications (STRATCOM) Support Services; Warehousing, Delivery, Installation, Testing and Training plan, Training and Simulation Plan, Training Reports, Technical RFI Assistance, Final Project Lessons Learned, and Project Documentation Transfer. Completing the project on time and in budget.

Martek was the contractor for a 95,000 SF Biomedical Research Building with a 50,000 SF vivarium laboratory. We provided inspection, storage, moving services, and installation services of new and existing Equipment, Fixtures, and IT items. Additionally Martek coordinated high level, aerosol, bacteriostatic cleaning of the vivarium prior to movement of test animals.

Iquitos, Peru
Naval Medical Research Laboratory 6

 

Martek served as the IO&T contractor for a 12,000 SF medical research lab in Iquitos Peru. Activities included initial inventories, space planning , procurement planning and purchase of all FF&E, and installation, testing and training. This contract was executed at the height of the pandemic. The team expertly navigated through delays from country closures, logistics and distribution challenges moving large amounts of equipment into the Amazon basin and construction delays and kept the project significantly under budget.

Holistic Health and Fitness Initiative

 

In support of the Army Chief of Staff’s initiative, Martek is providing Comprehensive Project Management Services; Comprehensive Equipment Planning; Equipment Purchasing; Delivery of equipment and Close-Out Services for Brigade level Holistic Health and Fitness units across the country. The equipment provided will be delivered to 40 brigades in 10 locations across the U.S., valued at $8.6 Million.

Space Shuttle Relocation and Retirement

 

Space Shuttle Endeavour was ferried by NASA’s Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA) over Houston, Texas on September 19, 2012, during a three-day flight to Los Angeles California and finally road transportation where the retired shuttle was put on public display at the California Science Center Museum.
Martek was honored to support the Space Shuttle Endeavour for its final journey. Relocating the national icon and precious historic spacecraft was all about making certain that the proper acquisition planning was developed, executed and in place. Martek successfully ensured that NASA acquired all services and right-of-ways to allow for the safe and efficient relocation of Endeavour’s successful journey and final retirement location.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires Logistics Support for the National Airspace System (NAS) and other Capital Improvement Projects (CIP). Martek’s Acquisition and Business Services provides cross-organizational leadership to ensure that operational programs supported by multiple lines of business are delivered on time, efficiently, and effectively. The FAA’s Acquisitions and Business Services (ACQ) initiatives reflect a commitment to the President’s Agenda for a more results-oriented and efficient government.
Martek support includes real estate support, executing capitalization activities and accomplishing drawing/design support for space management at the three FAA Logistics Service Areas (LSAs) located in Atlanta, Ft. Worth, and Seattle in addition to, the William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City; New England Region (Boston); Great Lakes Region (Chicago); and the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City.

Office of the Solicitor (SOL) consists of the Solicitor, the Deputy Solicitors, Associate Solicitors, Counselors to the Solicitor, Special Assistants, Executive Assistants, Program Assistants, Attorney Advisors, Paralegals and various Administrative and Staff Assistants. Each division has different responsibilities and provides legal services to different client-representative bureaus and offices within the Department.
Martek provides a large workload of document collection, review, and modification and legal analysis and, title opinions, as well as a need for overall administrative support services. Additionally, IT and facilities operations support services, and special projects have been provided during the contract performance.

Facilities Management System Implementation

 

In this 5-year contract, Martek is providing services to implement the Nuvolo® facilities management modules for NIST’s Office of Facilities and Property Management (OFPM). This Solution as a Service (SaaS) project will migrate information from three existing applications into one enterprise facilities management system with follow on support and helpdesk functions.
