Mr. Tornillo founded Martek in 1996 and provides the company’s vision and growth strategies. He has over 30 years of experience in management, real estate, facilities, and government contracting. Mr. Tornillo holds real estate brokerage licenses in several states and is very active in many community and industry organizations and volunteers his time to serve in various capacities.

Mr. Knight is the President of Martek and is responsible for the sustainment and growth of the corporation. In this capacity, Mr. Knight develops corporate strategy, ensures customer satisfaction, profitable performance, and leads all corporate growth initiatives. He is responsible for leading Martek to its next growth stage through organic and inorganic portfolio enhancement, strategic partnerships, and market positioning. Mr. Knight has over 25 years of progressive senior management experience in the government and commercial markets at Johnson Controls and Leidos leading global business segments in excess of $100M in revenue. He holds Bachelors and Masters’ degrees from the University of Maryland and Juris Doctor from the American University.

Mr. Ruit is responsible for the financial and administrative functions of the company. With 15 years of experience in accounting, he provides day to day direction and management of all accounting and administrative policies and procedures to ensure operations have the tools to deliver quality support.

Mr. Reynolds is a retired United States Navy Service Disabled Veteran with over 30 years of management and leadership experience in facilities operations and maintenance, construction/renovation, healthcare, logistics, and operations. He is responsible for strategic development and execution planning for Enterprise Facilities Solutions where he directs contracts for facilities O&M, design, construction, renovations, and healthcare outfitting. Patrick recently served as Project Manager, completing a 1.2M SQ FT medical facility for the VA in Denver, CO with an active medical research facility and a budget of $10M for services and support of purchasing more than $224M in FFE for the government. As a leader and motivator, Patrick has organized, staffed, marketed, and facilitated several large group interventions of more than 50 people, resulting in more than 80 improvement projects which streamlined business operations, improved work/life balance, quality of care, and customer service. Mr. Reynolds earned a bachelor’s degree from Touro University – New York and his Master’s degree from Trident University International- Cypress California.

As Vice President, he is responsible for ensuring divisional, contract performance, P&L, strategic planning, and business development. Prior to joining Martek, Mr. Darr served in several senior-level positions where he developed business and oversaw project execution. Prior to joining Martek, he served as an Executive Vice President at Advanced Concepts, Inc. and its successor companies, L-1 Identity Solutions and BAE Systems.

Diana Hernandez, Director of Employees Services, leads our Employee Services Department and oversees Martek’s HR compliance, employee relations, and retention efforts. She has over 17 years of Human Resources and recruiting experience. Ms. Hernandez holds a Bachelor’s in Marketing from Seattle University. She also obtained a Masters’ degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development Certificate from Marymount University. Ms. Hernandez is SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified. Prior to her role with Martek, she served as an HR Director with a healthcare organization and a generalist and campus recruiter for an accounting and consulting company. Ms. Hernandez has a passion in helping others and the community.

Harry D. Gatanas has more than 33 years of government experience as a leader in DOD acquisition and procurement. Over the past ten years his industry P&L experience spans all defense agencies as well as the intelligence community.
As Executive Vice President of Serco Incorporated’s Defense and Intelligence Group, Gatanas was responsible for the company’s business with the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community Managing a $900M P& L. During his tenure Serco earned the prestigious Cogswell award. Prior to joining Serco, Gatanas served as the Executive Vice President, Strategic Programs, for SI International. Gatanas also served as President and CEO for MFN Global Services, L.L.C., a fiber-optic telecommunications provider for federal, state, local, and international clients specializing in global information grid solutions.
Gatanas’ government service included duties as the Senior Acquisition Executive for the National Security Agency (NSA). He was directly responsible for NSA’s acquisition mission, which exceeded several billion dollars a year for software, hardware and communication requirements, to include the management of all procurement activities. Gatanas also served in the U.S. Army and is a retired General Officer with over 28 years of leadership, contracting and acquisition experience. He served as the Army’s Director for Contracting, as well as the Assistant Deputy for Weapons Systems, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army. He also served as the Commanding General, of the Army’s White Sands Missile Range, where he managed a diverse technical workforce of scientists and engineers at a remote test site for rockets and missiles.
Gatanas studied at Harvard’s Center for Management Research, the U.S. Army War College, and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching, Wayne State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History, City College of New York.
Gatanas has numerous external affiliations, including recent service on the Board of Intelligence and National Security Alliance; Board of Advisors for the National Contract Management Association, the Procurement Round Table, and has been a presenter at AFCEA, AUSA, and various other conferences and symposia.
Harry has previously served on corporate boards to include Serco North America’s Special Security Advisory Board and ETI Engineering, as a proxy board member. He currently serves on several advisory boards to include Espy, Martek Global Services, Harmony Technologies, and Clear Creek Group.
Mr. Gatanas holds a current TS SCI Full Scope Polygraph clearance.
